It is time to revisit my frame craze. Back in April, I blogged about a recent frame I made for my friend Amy’s wedding. Check out my blog “Glass Fishies!” to refresh your memory. This week while going through and … Continue reading

Glass Fishies!

My good friend Amy got married this past weekend!! She looked gorgeous!!

I decided to make her wedding gift. And, as I’ve said before, whenever possible I like to make personal gifts for friends or family when they tie the knot, or celebrate something or other.

I digress. And, I also have a confession to make. I stopped by Crate and Barrel for Amy’s’ wedding shower gift. Time was not on my side back in February. But, I made the best of it, and skimmed through Amy and Nick’s registry. The Glass Fishies immediately caught my eye, and 10 minutes later, I walked out of Crate and Barrel with two mini fishbowl-shaped tealight candle holders, and a package of the Glass Fishies to scatter at the bottom. Such a fun and colorful gift!

I hope Amy loved those Glass Fishies as much as I did, because I decided they needed to make a reappearance in Amy and Nick’s wedding gift!

Back to Crate and Barrel I went, and tracked down another pack of Glass Fishies for a wedding frame I wanted to make the happy couple.

A few years ago, I went through a phase of using mixed media to decorate photo frames. I revisited that phase in February by putting together another frame. It turned out fun, so I decided I would put something together for Amy and Nick’s wedding.

Amy and Nick’s wedding colors were brown and teal with a circular theme that was carried out throughout the wedding. I thought it would be fun to match the frame to the awesome invitations BB10 Creative put together for Amy and Nick. And, also, a good way to remember the tiny details of their special day. Several images of the frame are below. Enjoy!!
